Memorial portrait of Father Jerome Lantry OCD - Work in progress

My latest portrait is that of Father Jerome Lantry, who recently passed at the age of 92.  He gave more that 70 years of service to his community of the Carmelite order. Originally from Ireland, did most of his service in the US.  He ended up at St Therese Alhambra and passed peacefully at St Theresa Hospital, surrounded by his Brothers in Christ. He was loved very much  by all and remained alert and active to the end,  It was said an hour before passing, he was moving his hands in celebration as a Mass was held in his room.  I believe he was a living Saint.

  1. You've really "captured" Fr. Jerome, Belita! So beautiful! The statue looks like a photograph. Denise
