Behold The Man & The Artisan

The new Year will be bringing a couple of works that I will be finishing up. The First is a Religious painting"of Jesus after his scourging and will be crowned with thorns and adorned with a scarlet robe. It is based on Guy Atchley's production of "The Living Christ" that took place in Tuscon Arizona last summer. The Role of Christ was performed by Father Robert Barcelos, who has been a frequent model in many of my paintings.

The second painting is The Artisan" a portrait of a merchant that is based on one of the many photos I took at the Rennisance Faire thattakes place yearly in Southern California. It is a ceiebration of Rennisance Europe with many traditional activities, such as jousting, fencing, puppet shows, magic shows, arts and crafts, dancing, and "Making Merry" Beautiful, colorful, period costumes are worn by participants as well as visitors.
