The second painting is a tribute to our priest, Father Robert Barcelos, who was only 31 at the time he helped our family through the terrible time of my Husbands passing. He brought to St Therese, a fresh and new ministry and has a strong spiritual presence. Having very rough teen years, involved in the party scene, drugs, tagger and new age religions, he made a 180 degree turnaround to God by age 20, entering religious life. In my painting he is depicted holding his rosary which he would say is our "weapon against the Devil, our Enemy" that with our participation at Mass, the Holy Eucharist, Bible are our defenses against evil. Father Robert left our church for a new assignment in Tuscon Arizona (as Carmelites only stay 3 years at a time) and is missed by all. He has been a model, for me in a few paintings. As a model, he is an artists dream!

New Works In Progress
Two new works. Hi to All. I am working on 2 more paintings besides Renaissance Dancer. I do that because of the drying time, it give me a chance to work on more than one painting at a time. This painting depicts a last visit of one of of my daughters, Chartres and our little kids to their Dad my husband Tony. Little Julian and "Poppers" a week before he passed . This is a particularly sensitive work, it shows life's cycles... youth, age, life, death.. I call this "Generational Love".. The love between father, sons, daughters, family.... he passed peacefully surrounded by most of our family. Tony for the most part of his life had always been strong and healthy (in his youth, won a "Golden Gloves " Championship). I He was 25 years my senior. Ill with fibrosis of the lung, he never once complained. He was my crown.. and this is my tribute to a man who was a wonderful Husband Father and friend....
