St Teresa of Avila

I am working on a new piece, St Teresa of Avila, for  Father Philip that will be in one of the conference rooms in the Rectory.  St Teresa of Avila is one of the Churches doctors who wrote many books on Dogma and also reformed the Carmelites and started the Discalced Carmelites.  She worked closely with St John of the Cross, which will be my next project.  In this painting, she is inspired by the Holy Spirit.  This painting is a combination of many different references and the face is an original concept bases on old Icons of her.
